Hello, and a warm welcome.

There are many reasons why somebody may consider seeking counselling – including (but certainly not limited to) a sense of general unease, coping with burnout, anxiety, the stressors and pressures of modern society, experiencing life transitions, or navigating complex relationships. Whatever your reasons, counselling can offer a safe, accepting and insightful environment in which to explore potentially difficult and overwhelming things with another person.

Reaching out when seeking counselling is not always easy and so requires a sensitivity and respect on the part of the therapist. If you are ready to take that step, then I would be glad to hear from you. For a breakdown of how I approach first steps, please refer to 'Getting Started' (above).

My name is Frankie. I am a qualified MBACP-registered counsellor, and UKCP-registered trainee integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. I work in Oxfordshire and remotely across the UK with people aged 18+ of all backgrounds. I am an LGBTQIA+ therapist, with lived experience of neurodivergence.

How I work

I am an integrative counsellor, meaning that I aim to understand and honour the different parts and experiences that make up a person in their fullness.

It also means that, throughout counselling, I adapt my approach to suit your unique needs. To do so, I draw on different counselling theories – mainly the humanistic, existential and psychodynamic. Trauma-informed and anti-oppressive principles are at the heart of my approach.

You determine what you would like from counselling. My aim is to provide a kind, informed, genuine and non-judgemental space wherein you can explore, according to your pace and comfort, some of what could be happening for you - past, present and future.

Experience and Qualifications

As well as counselling, I have extensive trauma-informed care experience working relationally and in caring roles with children and young people across various settings, including residential care, education, supported housing, youth and grassroots organisations.

I possess several years of coaching and mentoring experience. I currently work facilitating creative psychoeducation groups for children, young people and professionals.

I work with clients from various backgrounds, and am particularly experienced in the following:

  • Working with children and young people
  • Feelings of depression
  • Anxiety
  • Childhood trauma
  • Attachment difficulties
  • Complex relationships
  • ADHD and Autism
  • Identity issues
